InterContinental Hotels & Resorts World Tennis Thailand Championship 2017
On 23 and 24 December 2017, InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) together with Proud Real Estate Co., Ltd. and the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) will host one of Southeast Asia’s top tennis events: the InterContinental Hotels & Resorts World Tennis Thailand Championship 2017.
The two-day tournament will be held at True Arena Hua Hin, Asia's premier sports complex and the largest, most comprehensive sports centre in the seaside resort town of Hua Hin. True Arena Hua Hin is destined to become one of Thailand’s premier locations for world class tennis, making Hua Hin a center for sporting excellence through enriching the city with an active lifestyle and inspiring future Thai sports professionals. Center Court, the main tennis court offers a plexicushion surface and is the only sunken court in South East Asia. Inspired by the Australian Open’s Rod Laver Arena, the 5,088-seat capacity arena includes HD broadcasting and press conference facilities.
The event will combine an already festive Christmas-time atmosphere in Hua Hin with exciting tennis competition, confirming the seaside community’s status as Thailand’s top sport and tourist destination.
